Sometimes users may face the problem like their Gmail account is not connecting to Incredimail. Or they are unable to send and receive emails from Incredimail. To sort out this problem you may follow the steps given below: 

  • Open the Incredimail. And then go to Tools and select Email Account


1.      Now click on Properties.

Go to Server tab and Check the following details:
  • Incoming Mail Server: imap.gmail.com
  • Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com
  • Under tab Outgoing Mail Server, my server require authentication box must be checked.
  • If these settings are same as above, now click on More Settings and check: Use same setting as my incoming mail server must be checked. If it is unchecked, then checked it and click on OK

Now go to Advanced Tab and Check for the following settings:
  • Outgoing Mail (SMTP): 465
  • Incoming mail (IMAP): 993 and both the tabs containing This server requires a secure connection (SSL) must be checked. And under the Delivery tab, Apply the Spam Blocked when receiving messages to this account must be checked. 
If these settings are even a little bit changed, you might not be able to send and receive emails through Incredimail.

Answer:
 To fix error Incredimail ACCESS_VIOLATION (C0000005)  uninstalling and then reinstalling IncrediMail 2.5. 
As the uninstall script only removes the exe/dll files, your existing data and settings should not be affected.
To uninstall IncrediMail 2.5, please go to Start > Settings > System > Apps and features, select "IncrediMail 2.5" and click on "Uninstall".After the uninstall completes, please run the following executable to install the latest build of IncrediMail 2.5:

When done, open IncrediMail and check the results.

To boot your Windows in Safe Mode, please do the following:
1. Click on the Windows Start menu, type "msconfig" in the search box, and press <Enter> on your keyboard.

3. Under 'Boot Options', select the options "Safe boot" and "Network".
4. In addition, make sure the option "Make all boot settings permanent" is not selected.
5. Click on OK and then restart your computer.
After Windows starts up, open IncrediMail and let me know if the problem continues to occur.
To restore your computer to its normal state, simply restart it once again.
Note: If for some reason you get stuck in Safe Mode, simply open the System Configuration dialog once again, and on the General tab, select the option "Normal Startup". Click on OK and then restart your computer.

Note: After following the above method if the programme is crashed then follow this procedure:
 To manually implement the crash fix in IncrediMail 2.5, please do the following:
1. First of all, close the IncrediMail application by right-clicking on the icon in your Windows task bar and select "Exit".

 To make remember your incredimail password follow the methods given below:
Method 1 :  Reconfigure your email account using the "Email Setup Wizard":

1. In the main IncrediMail window, click on "Tools" and select "Email Accounts".

2. Choose your account, click on "Remove". To reconfigure the account, click on "Add".

3. In the Account Wizard window, choose "Let me configure settings myself", and click on "Next".

4. Please choose your email service provider. If it is not listed, click on "Other".

5. Follow the instructions to setup your account.

Note: Make sure new password must be identical to the one your mail provider has given you.

Method 2 : Open a new identity in IncrediMail : 
If the problem continues, I would like you to open a new identity in IncrediMail and see if you still encounter the same problem.

To create a new identity, please click on Tools > Identities > New Identity.

Set up your identity, and check if problem continues to occur in the new identity.

Note : Please configure the same email address in your new identity, there is no need to create a new email address. While the identity name should be different, the email address should be exactly the same.

As everything is being done in the new identity, none of the data and settings in your original identity should be affected.

To switch back to your original identity, simply click on Tools > Switch Identity, select the appropriate identity, and click on OK.

    I have disconnected my Bigpond account rather than disconnecting Foxtel.Though wi-fi broadband and email address were eventually reconnected. I can use my old email address and password to access Telstra account and through that Webmail, which appears to be on the Outlook.com platform. My emails appear in the POP folder there. Since the connection interrupted it is showing the error message "ERR - Authentication failed" appears. From memory, when I first looked at the Properties of Incredimail Account it showed the POP settings as "pop3.live.com and the SMTP settings as "mail.bigpond.com". These settings don't work now. I have attempted to reset the Properties with the various settings found on the Internet to no avail, receiving similar messages to that above. In looking at Outlook.com settings, it appears that they may have to be in the IMAP format. If I attempt to add a New Account, when Incredimail searches BigPond for the IMAP settings I get the error, "email address and/or password incorrect". How can I sort out this issue?
    Solution : To sort out the Bigpond and POP3/SMTP settings issue in Incredimail please follow the steps given below and check the settings as mentioned below:
    Click on Tools > Email Accounts, select the appropriate account, click on "Properties", and make sure the following are your server/port settings:

    1. General tab:

    Display Name: Your full name

    I recently restored my computer to factory settings. Before doing so I exported my data and settings via the wizard. Then I reinstalled incredimail and I tried importing my data and settings but nothing is showing in incredimail. I browsed the messages folder, it simply created a new identity within the previous one.I tried copying the folders directly in current identity folder. I uninstalled it several times including using the uninstall tool then importing the messages. However I have copied and pasted the files. Though I can see the message files msg.iml (.inc) in the 'Message Store' folder but I cannot open/view them using incredimail. I have been able to view some of them using MsgViewer aIso. What is the method to restore them into incredimail?
    Answer:
    Simple copy and paste will not work for importing messages.To import your data, please copy the IM folder first,then copy the Identities folder inside it to your desktop and then follow the steps given below.
    To Import your Address Book:

    1. Open IncrediMail, click the 'File' menu, scroll to 'Import and Export' and select 'Import Contacts’.
