Gmail says Password is incorrect while using Incredimail

If Gmail is popping a message of incorrect password while using Incredimail you can go through the solution given below. Basically these are settings that might be changed or not correct so change these settings as shown below: 
Step 1: Go to Google Website (http://www.google.com) and login In to your Gmail account.
Step 2: Open Incredimail, go to Tools -> Email Accounts


3. Select your account and click properties.

Step 4: Go to Server tab and Check the following details:
  • Incoming Mail Server: imap.gmail.com
  • Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com
  • Under Outgoing Mail Server tab, my server require authentication box must be checked.


  • If these settings are same as above, now click on More Settings and check: Use same setting as my incoming mail server must be checked. If it is unchecked, then checked it and click on OK and Close.  


4. Now go to Advanced Tab and Check for the following settings:

  • Outgoing Mail (SMTP): 465
  • Incoming mail (IMAP): 993 and both the tabs containing This server requires a secure connection (SSL) must be checked. And under the Delivery tab, Apply the Spam Blocked when receiving messages to this account must be checked.
